iPhone to Car The New Media Solution

iPhone to Car The New Media Solution

The iPhone is one of the most successful phones in recent history. The ability to integrate numerous features makes the phone desirable, the image, design and styling make it more so. The fact its a must have accessory for a large majority of the population speaks volumes about the success Apple have had since the release.

One of the reasons the apple iPhone is so successful is because it brings all types of new digital media to the table. In fact some would say its responsible for a large part of the development of new media. For instance, Would sites like Facebook and Twitter be so popular if they weren’t accessible on your mobile phone?

Harnessing this new media is a challenge for all companies wanting involvement in the iPhone revolution, making an add-on that actually improves the features of an iPhone is somewhat difficult. Apps can be created relatively easily depending on the subject and performance targets, and of-course the skill of the development team behind it. However the devices that physically connect to the iPhone face entirely different obstacles. A good example was the power chance from 12v to 9v and 5v charging.

One of the problems when trying to integrate the iPhone with external hardware (None computers) is that the software on the phone is complex, computers can obviously install compatible software to integrate well, however when trying to integrate into something more simple in design i.e a car stereo more problems are encountered. Software is obviously not available to install on car stereos so certain features on the iPhone are not transferable.

The major problem when connecting an iPhone to a device without software is that the iPhone locks out and goes into flight mode. In the case of iPhone car kits, If you wanted to control the iPhone through the stereo or steering wheel controls the kit will lockout the iPhone, basically turning it into an iPod. Which isn’t a problem when navigating through your music collection, however you will not be able to make or receive calls or texts.

Dension have created a new iPhone car kit which allows the connection of the iPhone without it going into flight mode, you control the iPhone’s music from the phone its self so you still have full phone features combined with the music integration into your car. The iPhone is charged while connected and the stereo retains all of its usual controls, I.e volume controls.

The Gateway Lite is the next generation of iPhone car kits specifically designed for such purpose, have you mobile jukebox in full operation in your car and you phone if required. The Gateway lite is not a phone kit and does not offer any handsfree functions, but is the best solution for integrating your iPhone into your vehicle.

The Next Internet Wave Is Coming

The Next Internet Wave Is Coming

Have you heard the news? RESMarketing.ws wants you to know that more than a billion people are kicking down the doors to the Internet and billions more will follow. The hottest place to be is online and if you STILL have yet to get in on the action, or at least position yourself for the coming wave, this is your wake-up call.

Google, the 0,000,000,000 mega-search-engine, has so much business it can afford to give away cutting edge applications for free to test marketing strategies. The result: More traffic and advertising revenue for them and free organic search engine traffic for you with Adsense sprinkled for good measure.

According to Nielson (May 2009) “Online video usage is up 53%” and YouTube has benefited in a big way.  Once obscure people are now YouTube sensations recording music, offering cosmetic tips, producing film, and even offering a wide array of well-documented video tutorials that viewers find irresistible.  The result:  More traffic and advertising dollars for them, more traffic for your uploaded videos free of charge.

Twitter spreads information faster than the Associated Press at times and punk kids have become Internet marketing gurus spreading tips and strategies at lightening speed.  When new products launch and followers are commanded to GO GO GO, an avalanche of traffic can flood blogs, websites, opt-in forms, and drive sales of marketing courses at the push of a single tweet.  The result: Opportunities to build JV alliances with leaders, test special offers with instant results, and the chance to position yourself as a leader in front of a growing audience of prospects at zero cost.

If that isn’t enough to encourage you to head to the closest Internet shore ready to ride the big one, maybe this will.

More eyeballs are glued to Macs, PCs, and mobile devices than ever before and they’re downloading apps, music, ringtones, games, buying from Amazon.com, backing up programs online with Mozy, and searching for old friends with free people searches and you can join affiliate programs, offer the same products, and potentially earn income without investing nothing more than your time.  All you have to do is decide to start and go for it.

The massive traffic spreading across the web has room for you.  Whether you want free and low cost strategies for making money online, interested in Blogging about the latest blockbuster film while earning cash from Google Adsense, want to sell blueprints for building wind turbines, or discovered the best way to raise Koi during migratory bird season, the opportunity to make a decent wage online is there for the taking.

Waves of traffic are virtually guaranteed by innovations in technology connecting people to the Internet at lower costs and faster transfer rates.  Easier global access can literally help boost your annual income.  If you ever complained about a job, a boss, your income, or quality of life, RESMarketing.ws urges you to consider the Internet and the prosperity it can offer.

Where else can you sell a product at 2 AM while sleeping?  Where else can you enroll an affiliate into a network marketing opportunity without picking up the phone?  Where else can you take advantage of 100% automation where the only time you have to send an email outside an autoresponder is to thank the company for the bonus check?

Kick down the door!  Head to the shore!!  Hop in!!!  Let the Internet unlock your true income potential and surf the waves all the way to the bank.

Top Green Web Hosting Companies

Author admin    Category Twitter Apps     Tags , ,

Top Green Web Hosting Companies

Green web hosting companies power their servers through renewable energy sources such as wind and solar. Working online without any paper trail may seem green, but if the servers of a hosting company are emitting CO2 then the purpose of going green is defeated. Just a few companies started off with renewable energy back in 1996 during its infancy stage. Today, green web hosts are standing eye to eye in competition with larger web hosting services.

Understanding the difference between regular and green web hosting

Because of the out-of-sight-out-of-mind psychology, a lot of people tend to forget the importance of choosing green web hosts for their online properties. Behind the scenes, we have data centers with computers, servers and cooling systems that consume significant amounts of power. The carbon released from these centers effect the environment directly.

To offset that, green web hosting companies make it a point to use the electricity from renewable sources to run their business. They also implement ways to reduce the electricity consumption without compromising on the quality of services that they provide.

Benefits of choosing a green web host

The importance of reducing our carbon footprint is something that most people understand today, thanks to the WE campaign and other awareness building programs. Despite that, our website’s hosting service is the last thing that comes to mind when we’re greening our lifestyles. Yet, ironically, its one of the biggest contributors to ecological emissions. The value of switching to a green host is a viable business decision, because:

Resource Optimization: Green web hosts ensure that customer requirements are balanced effectively with the resources at hand. They first determine the amount of power needed based on virtual simulations and then offer services to meet those needs.

Renewable Energy: Green web hosts ensure that the power they require is provided by renewable and naturally available resources, such as wind and sunlight. Some web hosting services switch to lower-emission sources of energy such as propane. Although propane isn’t exactly a renewable resource, it is a good alternative because it can be produced in abundance and costs much less than fuel.

Efficient Machines: Since data center servers consume high amounts of power, green web hosts prefer to go with machines which have a lower rate of CO2 and heat emissions — reducing the electricity and environmental cooling requirements in the long run. Furthermore, the machines are well maintained to avoid disposal after a few years.

Efficient Layout and Management: Efficient layout of networks and servers in the data center improves cooling and electricity requirements to a great extent. Regular maintenance and management of the servers and networks also assist in reducing any unnecessary consumption in the long run.

Service Levels: The service levels of all green web hosts are generally as good as other hosting services. Watch out for renewable power certifications to feel confident about their efficiency management levels.

Measuring reliability and performance

There is a common misconception that the reliability and performance of a green web host is not at par with their non-green counterparts. As with any other web hosting company, in order to measure its reliability and performance, we should look into the following factors:

Customer Service: Given the nature of online businesses today, web hosting companies  have to provide reliability and efficiency 24×7 to make sure that everything runs smooth.

Minimum down time: Check the percentage of downtime of the green web host of your choice. There’s a big difference between 99% and 99.99% up-time in web hosting. Think about the effect it has on the market when popular apps like Twitter go down – they have to justify the Fail Whale’s presence to millions of users within minutes. Consumer expectations of service have changed with time, and they are often unforgiving when they can’t access your sites and applications. Remember, down-time directly effects bottom line.

Cost: Get this straight – low price may not mean the best service. Evaluate your hosting needs and then decide if the cost of the package is justified, both economically and environmentally.

User friendly: The interface and support system of any web hosting service should be user friendly. Since  you might have to deal with the hosts in tense situations, it is best to choose the most usable, scalable and flexible services to make the interactions smooth.

Easy installation of applications: Before buying hosting, make sure that it supports the applications that you will be using. For example, it should be able to support your preferred content management system for your business website or blog which may be on Drupal, Joomla, WordPress or other platforms.

Top 5 eco-friendly web hosts

As more web hosting companies have started going green, the competition to get the attention of the eco-savvy crowd is becoming fierce. Here are 5 eco-friendly companies that stand out.

The Sony Ericsson Vivaz Is A Sophisticated Smartphone

The Sony Ericsson Vivaz Is A Sophisticated Smartphone

The Sony Ericsson brand is well known for it’s range of multifunction mobiles, and especially those incorporating the famous Walkman music player. Due for release in Jan 2010, the Vivaz will offer something different from the brand. The Vivaz doesn’t really look like what you’d expect from a Sony Ericsson. A touch screen covers the front of the phone eliminating the need for a keypad usually found on the manufacturer’s phones.

The Vivaz handset will measure 107×51.7×12.5mm and weighs in at just 97g, allowing a comfortable user experience. Sony Ericsson has gradually been releasing more and more touch screen phones. This unit incorporates a 3.2” TFT touch screen capable of displaying up to 16million colours at 360×240 pixels. This will display the phones content vibrantly and clearly.

Alert types available on the phone will include vibration and ringing, with the option to utilize mp3 files as ringtones. A speakerphone is incorporated into the handset allowing for hands free communication. A 3.5 mm audio jack is also provided allowing the use of hands free kits. This can also be used to listen to music via a pair of compatible headphones.

A huge 75MB of internal storage is provided with the Vivaz, but if that isn’t enough the pre-installed 8GB memory card can be increased up to 16GB using the microSD slot found on the handset.

Connection to the internet is via a HSDPA connection at speed of up to 10.2 Mbps, as well as a HSUPA connection at speeds of up to 2Mbps. WiFi connectivity is also provided allowing users to take advantage of various hotspots located around the country. Bluetooth v2.1 is installed as standard allowing users to transfer data and files with other Bluetooth compatible devices,

The camera on the Vivaz is certainly impressive. Boasting 8MP, which operates at a pixel resolution of 3264×2448 pixels. A range of added features includes auto-focus, LED flash, touch-focus, face and smile recognition as well as geo-tagging.  The ability to record video is included at 1280×720 pixels which comes with a video light. All these features will let users shoot high quality video and photographs with the minimum of effort.

From a manufacturer whose phones are known for their music playback ability, the Vivaz does not disappoint. A range of audio files are supported by the phone’s media player. These include mp3, WMA, WAV, RA, AAC and M4A. Several video formats are also supported. These are WMV, RV, MP4, and 3GP. To allow for easy transfer to and from a computer, a microUSB (v.2.0) is located on the handset.

In order to view the HD videos and photos shot on the Vivaz, users can connect the phone to a TV via the TV out socket. Other features included with this phone are an organizer, Quick Office document reader, gesture control, voice memo recorder and T9 predictive text input. Fans of social networking will not be disappointed, with apps allowing direct access to Facebook and Twitter. Also offered is integration with Youtube and Picasa allowing users to upload pictures and videos directly from their handset.

The Vivaz offers a welcome change from Sony Ericsson. An array of technology is perfectly housed in the latest of Sony Ericsson’s increasingly aesthetically pleasing handsets. It is available in black, red, silver and blue.

Motorola Milestone Joins Vodafone

Motorola Milestone Joins Vodafone

There are further network launches planned for the Milestone with a release on the O2 network expected very soon, for those that struggle to pass the network credit checks when trying to buy a contract phone there is also a planned launch for the Motorola Milestone as a Pay As You Go phone.

The main competition to the Motorola Milestone will actually come from forthcoming phones yet to be released, the Sony Ericsson X10 is the manufacturers first Android powered handset whilst Motorola’s own Motorola Backflip which is an upgrade to the current Dext phone also incorporates a Qwerty keyboard and Android software.

Competition not only comes from the Google Nexus One phone but also other handsets that use other operating systems such as the HTC HD2 and Samsung Omnia Pro with Windows Mobile and the Sony Ericsson Satio which is a Symbian run device.

The Milestone gives access to the ever expanding Android market with more and more applications that support this latest Motorola phone being made available, there are a number of social networking apps for sites such as Facebook and Twitter to keep the user connected with friends as well as a huge array of mobile content, videos and entertainment applications available.

Unlike the recently launched Google Nexus One which features the Android 2.1 OS, the Milestone offers this physical keyboard for fast text input for those that cannot get on with the onscreen ‘virtual’ Qwerty keyboards of touch screen only phones.

The Motorola Milestone is the first mobile phone to feature the Android 2.0 operating system, this powerful device also packs a 5.0 mega pixel camera with autofocus and dual LED flash as well as a very handy slide out Qwerty keyboard.

This latest network release on Vodafone for the Milestone phone means there are now more tariffs than ever before to choose from when trying to match your usage requirements, there are even a substantial range of free gift combinations available when ordering on some of the more costly talk plans.

This Android 2.0 powered Motorola phone has been available since the 8th of January on the Orange network and as a SIM Free and unlocked mobile phone, the Motorola Milestone was then launched on a range of T-Mobile packages on the 28th of the same month giving even more choice to consumers earching for the best deal.

The most powerful Motorola phone launched to date has now been released on a new network, the Motorola Milestone can now be connected to a range of Vodafone pay monthly contract tariffs from free.

Lg Intouch Max Gw620 – Joining The Lg Bandwagon

Author admin    Category Twitter Apps     Tags , , ,

Lg Intouch Max Gw620 – Joining The Lg Bandwagon

The Korean mobile phone maker LG has recently unveiled its first Android smartphone – the LG InTouch Max GW620.  First announced in September and released in November last year, the new handset is now available from T-mobile offering a 2-year ₤20 a month contract with unlimited data and from Virgin Media for an 18-month  ₤22 a month contract with unlimited text and data.

It comes in a choice of body colors – black, gray and blue.  The new smartphones heralds LG’s first foray into the emerging platform of choice among the latest smartphones.  It still uses an older Android 1.5 “cupcake” but this shouldn’t hinder an upgrade path to the latest version.  This essentially brings to 4 out of the big 5’s of mobile phones up on the Android bandwagon with Nokia still taking its time to join.

Upscale Features at a Glance

The InTouch Max is housed in a full-QWERTY side slider body measuring 109 x 54.5 x 15.9mm and weighing a hefty 139 grams – something you’d rather put on a holsters than in you pocket.  There’s not much of a stand-out as its feature set is mostly a mix of the good and the mediocre we’ve basically come to expect from a decent smartphone.

Software-wise, it has pretenses to being a social networking smartphone like most other recent smartphones on the market.  You get instant access to SNS Facebook and Twitters accounts where updating is often made easy depending on how well your fingers type on a QWERTY keyboards at this size.

You get a decent MS office document viewer/editor as well as motion-sensitive games.  And talking about applications, it has access to around 20,000 online apps more than half of which are free for downloading.

This makes the Max a first in the LG mobile phone stable to make us of open source application which, as Sales and Marketing Director of LG, John Barton, admits, “signals the end of expensive and exclusive applications and the start of applications for everyone.”

Hardware-wise, the LG InTouch Max GW620 is a 3G phone with HSDPA at 7.2 Mbps and HSUPA for high speed internet access that enhances your surfing and social networking experience while on the road.  It’s also your basic quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE on 2G as well as a dual band UMTS on 3G.

There’s WiFi 802.11b/g, A-GPS and the usual Bluetooth 2.0 and microUSB 2,0 for local data connectivity.  If there’s anyone feature that can lay claim to being remarkable is its 5-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, image stabilization and face detection as well as WVGA video recording as a cinema-grade 30fps frame rate.  This puts the Max in the league of upscale camera phones in the market.

Its 3-inch QVGA resistive touchscreen display with 256k color support may be disappointing to some who are now getting used to large Wide-VGA displays and capacitive touchscreens following the iPhone example.

But that won’t be surprising when we consider the rather modest contract prices from either T-mobile or Virgin Media.  Internal memory is modest at 150 MB but you get up to 32 GB of microSD of external memory expandability.  Talk times are decent at 8 hours on 2G as well as 600 hours on its 1500 mAh lithium-polymer battery.

Affordability In A Smart And Earth-Friendly Sony Ericsson Aspen

Affordability In A Smart And Earth-Friendly Sony Ericsson Aspen

Coming out with Windows Mobile Handsets may seem like an uphill battle these days, what with a cumbersome OS that can’t seem to cope with the cutting edge functionality of other platforms like the emerging Android.

But Sony Ericsson is unfazed especially with the third iteration in the recent Windows Mobile OS – the WinMo 6.5.3 that finally got its act right with better finger-friendly features, improved memory management and gesture controls.

The leading Japanese mobile phone maker just announced early this month the release of three new eco-friendly handsets to add to its GreenHeart portfolio – the first of its product announcements for the new year.

One of them is the Sony Ericsson Aspen, the first smartphone to use the new Windows upgrade that makes it the best Windows Mobile phone in the market today.  It could possibly be the first Sony Ericsson to sport the Blackberry type QWERTY candybar form factor with a distinctive styling that makes it more interesting than most Blackberry handsets out there.

At a Glance

The Aspen is a quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE on 2G and a dual band UMTS on 3G with HSDPA/HSUPA, WiFi 802.11b/g as well as local data synching options with wired microUSB 2.0 and wireless Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP.  You get a 2.4-inch QVGA TFT LCD screen typical of Blackberry styling.  You also get a resistive touchscreen with improved gesture and touch control from an enhanced Windows Mobile version.  There’s even a gravity accelerometer for auto-rotate viewing.

Imaging is quite basic with a 3.2 megapixel fixed focus camera that features smart contrast and a rudimentary video recording capability. Its multimedia does better with the media players we’ve come to expect for the Sony Walkman heritage.  There’s a media browser for your images, audio and video files and you get access to its PlayNow site for the latest games and music files.

Your listening experience rounds off with a stereo FM receiver with RDS and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Internal memory is just 100 MB that uses a better memory management from its WinMo 6.5.3 but you also get microSD expandability up to 16 GB.  When fully charged you get up to 10hours of talk time on 2G and 450 hours on standby.  You can also enjoy 12 hours of uninterrupted music payback time.

Software-wise, its A-GPS receiver comes with Google Maps.  You get Java-based social networking apps like Twitter and Facebook as well as instant updating you media sharing sites like YouTube.  WAP 2.0-enabled HTML browsers and push email client software as well as a PDF and MS Office document viewer are standard.

The Aspen’s earth-friendly features start with recyclable materials and water-based paint used for its body.  There are not printed user manuals but you get access to online e-manuals.  There’s the WalkMate pedometer and CO2 calculator that tells you how much CO2 emission you prevented by just taking the bus or walking instead of your car.

Availability

The Sony Ericsson Aspen is expected to reach its intended markets within the 2nd quarter of the year.  No pricing information is available at this time but based on its press release, this is an affordable smartphone which is confirmed by a rather unremarkable and modest set of features.

The Sony Ericsson Vivaz – A Vidcam With A Phone

Author admin    Category Twitter Apps     Tags , , , ,

The Sony Ericsson Vivaz – A Vidcam With A Phone

For sure, there are not that many handsets in the market that can claim exquisite looks.  It’s a freshly unique standout in form just at first glance, avoiding the drab black slab of most other wide touchscreen handsets out there.  Looking deeper, it gets compellingly better.

Forget about its Symbian S60 5th edition OS and just think about it as a great camera and HD videocam with phone functions.  This is the Sony Ericsson Vivaz, codenamed Kurara during its heyday in the online rumor mill and the very first product to be announced by the leading Japanese mobile phone maker for 2010.

Expected to be released within the first quarter of the year, the new Symbian smartphone just might take the markets if its Android Xperia X10 gets delayed any further.  And if Sony has taken care not to worsen its reliability image over past handsets, it looks like a sure winner.

It’s an HD Vidcam

Let’s start from its remarkable imaging features.  It has an 8-megapixel autofocus and touchfocus camera with LED Flash, face and smile detection as well as geo-tagging from its built-in GPS receiver.  This would have been enough to put it up there among the finest camera phones.  But it also takes 720p high definition video recording at a movie-grade 24 fps frame rate and made better with continuous autofocus and video light.

Not bad when you consider that Blu Ray discs are also encoded at 24 fps.  HD recording would not be possible without a capable processor and the Vivaz has it with a PowerVR processor clocked at 720 MHz, an SGX graphics accelerator and sufficient RAM at 75 MB which must be fast enough.

Top Notch Features

To show off its HD video capture, there’s an average-sized but near-HD 3.2-inch semi-wide VGA (360 x 640) resistive touchscreen with the usual 16 million colors courtesy of the Symbian OS support.  There’s the usual gravity accelerometer for auto-rotate but sadly lacks a proximity sensor to disable the touchscreen sensitivity in a call. After that, all the other features are just your typical high end smartphone set.

This is why we said the Vivaz is really a camera with a phone function, though by no means are the phone features a second thought.  On the contrary they are as superb as its vidcam function.

On the hardware front, this is your basic 3G smartphone on the dual band UMTS (900/2100) with the usual HSSPA at 10.2 Mbps and HSUPA at 2 MBPS for high speed data connectivity.  Of course, it’s also your quad band GSM (850/900/1800/1900) with GPRS/EDGE on 2.5G data connectivity.

There’s WiFi 802.11b/g with DLNA, Bluetooth 2.1 and microUSB 2.0 for wireless and wired data synching, respectively. You get GPS and stereo FM receivers, 3.5mm headphone jack and TV-out (VGA resolution) ports.  Its 1200 mAh Lithium-polymer batter provides one of the longest talk times in its class at a remarkable 13 hours and a standby time of 18 days.

Software-wise, the Sony Ericsson Vivaz has the usual Java-based apps that allow integration with social networking sites like Facebook and twitters as well as media sharing sites like YouTube and Picasa.  It also has PDF and MS office document viewer, Push email, WAP 2.0 NetFront web browser and the WisePilot navigation system and Google Maps supporting its GPS and A-GPS function.

Another High End Smartphone – The Sony Ericsson Vivaz

Another High End Smartphone – The Sony Ericsson Vivaz

Once in a while a truly wonderful mobile phone comes along that it can’t help but jolt the market starting to grow tired of so-so gadgets and wanabees.  The first ever official product announcement from the struggling Japanese mobile phone maverick Sony Ericsson promises to be one.

If its initial pictures and tech specs are to be believed, the new Sony Ericsson Vivaz, formerly known as the Kurara prior to being launched, has everything to bring back the glory days of the once mighty Sony Ericsson name.

First the stand-out features

The Vivaz does not have the Satio’s unchallenged position as the top camera phone to beat with its 12 megapixel camera, but only an 8-megapixel snapper.  With autofocus and touchfocus, face and smile detection, LED flash and geo-tagging, this is often enough to qualify a mobile phone as among the top notch camera phone.

But the Vivaz goes further.  It has a 720p high definition video recording at a Blu-Ray quality 24 fps frame that the Satio can only approximate at a mere VGA resolution at 30 fps.  Other comparisons are tempting especially with the Samsung i890 Omnia HD which is also a Symbian phone with 720p video recording which makes the two direct bitter rivals to the top.

Display HD in all its glory requires a large capable screen.  In the Vivaz, you get a 3.2-inch wide-VGA touchscreen display with 16 million colors typical of Symbian smartphones.  It’s nearly as large as the 3.5 inch display on the Satio and also enjoys a gravity accelerometer for auto-rotate viewing with the handset tilt.

Unfortunately it has no proximity sensors so its touchscreen sensitivity remains active even when held against the ears in a call.  But its data input facility for virtual on screen alphanumeric and QWERTY keys is very responsive even without a stylus – something we don’t expect from a resistive touchscreen.

The Vivaz is powered by 720 MHz PowerVR SGX graphics processor found on the Satio which has a lower 600 MHz clock speed.  This would account for the CPU-intensive 720p HF video processing that the Satio doesn’t have.

Outstanding Features

The Vivaz is a 3G phone on a dual band UMTS with HSDPA at 10.2 Mbps and HSUPA at 2 Mbps data connectivity. It is also a quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE on 2G.  There’s WiFi 802.11b/g with DLNA for hotspot surfing as well as Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and microUSB 2.0 for local data synching.

There’s A- GPS with Google Maps and WisePilot navigation system that allows a voiced turn-by-turn road direction like any GPS SatNav gadgets.  It has the usual stereo FM receiver, 3.5mm headphone jack and TV-out (VGA resolution) ports.

Its 1200 mAh Lithium-polymer batter provides one of the longest talk times in its class at a remarkable 13 hours and a standby time of 18 days.  Software-wise, the Sony Ericsson Vivaz has the usual Java-based apps for social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter as well as media sharing like YouTube and Picasa.  It also has PDF and MS office document viewer, Push email and a WAP 2.0 NetFront web browser.
