Free Web Advertising? Does Any of it Actually Work?
Anyone that’s been online for any period of time has probably boughtinto the idea of Free Web Advertising, or even low cost webadvertising. You know, 1 Million Guaranteed Visitors for Free or for$10 or something? Don’t worry. It happens to Everyone. The Problem is that the folks offering Free Web Advertising services haven’t taken the time to make sure that the traffic they are selling will be valuable. They tell you it’s “Targeted” and they might have you pick a “Category” for the site you want the traffic to hit. I’m convinced they only do this to make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside. There’s another problem with Free Web Advertising though. That problem is with you and me… and 99% of everyone else who believes that this traffic is going to be worth something. That problem is that people buying into the idea of free web advertising are trying to send the traffic to their main offer right off the bat. The idea that you didn’t do anything to generate that visitor, but you expect them to buy into your $3,000 program just like that? That idea will Never work. You need to understand the visitors you are generating for that small amount of effort or money. They are not going to just jump in to a High Ticket offer after being on your site for 15 seconds. Believe me, there is NO Marketing System in the world that converts that well! You need to be Savvy and at least a little creative when trying to take advantage of Free Web Advertising. You need to give visitors something of Real Value at little or, even better, No Cost. Give them a Real Reason to Take action after being on your site for that 15 short seconds. Now, we also need to understand that no matter how good your offer is, Free Web Advertising will Never convert at a very high percentage. However, if you get even a few prospects out of it, for the effort you put in, it was well worth your time.
